Bling it | Heart Pendants

Making Bling!

Materials

2 cups salt
2/3 cup water
1 cup cornstarch 1/2 cup cold water

Making the Clay

  1. In a saucepan mix the salt with the 2/3 cup of water.
  2. Heat for 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; add thecornstarch and cold water.
  4. Stir until it has the consistencyof mashed potatoes.
  5. Scoop the clay onto a plate and let it to cool. It cools inapproximately 5-10 minutes.

Making the Bling

Use a rolling pin to flatten your clay. Cut and shape it into beads for bracelets or flat discs, squares, stars etc. for pendants. Gently poke holes in each of the pieces to string them together once finished.

Let dry overnight. Paint and coat with clear nail polish to protect them.

To Decorate

WE USED
• wood skewer
(to poke hole for string) • cookie cutters
• sparkle nail polish
• elastic tube string you can also use, paint, food colouring, stickers
