When we let kids be kids, they blow us out of the water. Their perception hasn’t yet been squashed by workplace processes or limited by our current engineering, tech or scientific capabilities. I recently received a letter from a tutor that subscribes to Brainspace. She shared a chat that she had with one of her students. He came up with the coolest idea that roads should have materials that naturally charge cars as they drive on them. Kids are exceptional innovators without our help. We should not only be teaching what we know but allowing them to explore what we don’t.
